Description of Classes




For dogs 3 months or older, the introductory class teaches basic canine obedience. You and your dog will learn to walk without pulling, come, sit, down, heel, and stay. A printed manual accompanies the class so you can do homework exercises outside class. Behavioral problems, including jumping, nipping, digging and chewing will be discussed during class. Classes meet in Poway. See the schedule for the next available class.


This class is also called Canine Good Citizen class and is open for dogs with some basic obedience training. During this class, you and your dog will work to obtain the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen title. You and your dog will experience more in depth distraction training. Turn your dog into a canine good citizen, a joy to you, your friends, and neighbors; welcome everywhere, with no barking, biting, jumping, or pulling. Dogs will always come happily and want to be with you. They will learn to exhibit quiet behavior when interacting with other dogs and people. Classes meet in Poway. This off leash class held at the Poway Dog Park is for dogs with some basic obedience training. With this training, you will learn to work with your dog off leash and build an even stronger bond when your dog is not under leash control. See the schedule for the next available class. NOTE: The Advanced Class is only taught during the Spring and Summer sessions.
